He completed his residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Additionally, he gained a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Following his education, Dr. Lichtenstein is board certified by the American Board of Radiology subspecialty certification in Neuroradiology with MOC in Neuroradiology.

Richard J. Lichtenstein, MD, attended the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL, and received his medical degree in 1987. Then, he served his internship at the former Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, MO (1987-1988).
